The PGA Tour’s fall schedule is in full swing with only five more weeks before the start of the playoffs and three more weeks before the end of the 2024 FedEx Cup season. Despite the 2025 season no longer beginning in September, golf fans still have plenty to look forward to with the second playing of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall series. Last year, the FedEx Cup Fall underwent a rebrand and revamp following Ponte Vedra’s decision to shift back to a calendar-based schedule model. While the fall season no longer counts toward next season’s FedEx Cup point total, it still holds significance for players aiming to retain their Tour cards for the upcoming season.

Under the new model, FedEx Cup points from the previous season carry over to the fall, and players outside the Top 70 must get within the Top 125 of the standings to retain full member status on the PGA Tour for the next season. The fall series events also offer 10 positions in the first two Signature events of the season through the Aon Next 10 list. The 2024 Fall schedule includes the return of seven official events from the 2023 debut, along with one new PGA Tour event, the Black Desert Championship in Utah. Additionally, there will be three unofficial events before the year concludes, including the Presidents Cup in September.

The 2024 Fall schedule kicks off on September 9-15 with the Fortinet Championship in Napa Valley, California. The defending champion, Sahith Theegala, will be looking to secure another victory at the Silverado Resort and Spa. This will be followed by the Presidents Cup in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from September 23-29, where the defending champions, the United States team, will defend their title at Royal Montreal Golf Club. The schedule continues with events like the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, Mississippi, and the new Black Desert Championship in Ivins, Utah.

In October, golf fans can look forward to the Shriners Children’s Open in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Tom Kim will aim for three consecutive wins at TPC Summerlin. The Zozo Championship in Inzai, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, will see Collin Morikawa defend his title at the Narashino Country Club. The fall schedule concludes in November with events like the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico, and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course in Bermuda. Players will also compete in the RSM Classic in Saint Simons Island, Georgia, and the Hero World Challenge in The Bahamas at Albany Golf Course.

With a diverse range of events spread across various locations, the 2024 PGA Tour Fall schedule promises exciting competition and opportunities for players to secure their positions in the upcoming season. Golf enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing top players battle it out on the course and vie for victories in these prestigious tournaments. As the season progresses, the race for FedEx Cup points intensifies, adding further excitement to the competitive landscape of professional golf. Stay tuned for updates on the fall schedule as players strive to solidify their positions and make their mark on the PGA Tour.
