The 2024 PGA Tour schedule is winding down, with only four regular-season events left before the FedEx Cup Playoffs and the start of the fall schedule. The Tour recently announced the eight-event FedEx Cup Fall for 2024, which will include new tournaments and venues. Notably, the Black Desert Championship in southern Utah and the renamed Napa Valley Golf Championship will be part of the fall schedule.
After the regular season concludes, there will be a week off before the Presidents Cup and another week off in early November before the final stretch of events. The FedExCup Fall will play a crucial role in finalizing the top 125 eligibility for the next season, providing exempt status for full-field events as well as a spot in the prestigious Players Championship.
The fall schedule will kick off with the Napa Valley Golf Championship followed by the Presidents Cup and other events such as the Sanderson Farms Championship, Shriners Children’s Open, Zozo Championship, and more. The season will wrap up with the RSM Classic before moving into the ‘silly season’ with events like the Hero World Challenge, Grant Thornton Invitational, and PNC Championship.
Players who finish in the top 70 of the FedExCup standings through the Tour Championship will be exempt for the 2025 season, with the top 50 players receiving exemptions into all Signature Events for 2025. Players ranked beyond 50 will carry their FedExCup points into the fall season to accumulate points for eligibility for the following season. The Aon Next 10 program will also provide opportunities for players ranked 51-60 to earn spots in early-season Signature Events.
Overall, the 2024 PGA Tour fall schedule promises to be action-packed with new events, familiar tournaments, and opportunities for players to secure their spots for the upcoming season. The tour will provide exciting competition and top-tier golf as players strive to solidify their rankings and earn coveted exemptions for the following year. Fans can look forward to thrilling moments on the course and a showcase of the best talent in professional golf during the fall season.
