The 2024 PGA Tour major season has come to a close, with just two regular-season events left before the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The field announcement for the upcoming 3M Open includes some notable names such as Billy Horschel, Justin Rose, and Sam Burns, who were in contention at the recent British Open. Other players like Akshay Bhatia, Keegan Bradley, and Tony Finau will also be competing after missing the cut at Royal Troon.

Nick Dunlap, fresh off his victory at the Barracuda Championship, will be teeing off at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota. Viewers of the Golf Channel telecast were able to hear a heartwarming phone call between Dunlap and his mom, who was excited to take time off work to attend the 3M Open. Lee Hodges is the defending champion at this event, and a total of 156 golfers will be competing in the field.

There have been some changes in the field for the 3M Open, with Aaron Rai withdrawing and James Hahn taking his place. Additionally, Mark Hubbard has withdrawn, allowing James Hahn to reenter the field. After the 3M Open, there will be a break for the Olympics before the Wyndham Championship, the final event before the FedEx Cup Playoffs begin.

The 3M Open is shaping up to be an exciting event with top players competing for a chance to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. With the field including recent British Open contenders and up-and-coming stars like Dunlap, fans can expect some thrilling competition. The break for the Olympics offers players a chance to represent their countries and compete on a global stage before returning for the final stretch of the PGA Tour season.

The Wyndham Championship will be a crucial event for players looking to secure their spots in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The pressure will be on as they vie for valuable points to qualify for the three-tournament finale. With the season winding down, every shot and every tournament becomes increasingly important as players aim to position themselves for a shot at the FedEx Cup and its lucrative prize money.

As the PGA Tour season progresses, fans can expect more drama and excitement as players battle it out for a chance at glory. The remaining events on the schedule are sure to provide thrilling moments and highlight the skill and competitiveness of the world’s best golfers. With the FedEx Cup Playoffs looming, the stakes are higher than ever, and the intensity of competition will only continue to rise as the season reaches its climax.
