This week on the putting green and in tour players’ bags, we’ve seen some unique and beautiful custom putters being tested. Let’s take a closer look at some of the standout putters that caught our attention.

Tyler Duncan was spotted using the Scotty Cameron Phantom T-11.5 putter. This putter features a multi-material design that enhances forgiveness by boosting MOI. Duncan’s custom T-11.5 model has the shaft positioned in the center of the putter head, creating a unique setup similar to L.A.B. putters.

Zac Blair has an impressive collection of Scotty Cameron putters, and this week he was seen with a Scotty Cameron 009.M Cameron & Co. “Longneck” putter. This Masterful putter incorporates CNC machine work to reduce hand polishing and features a long plumbers neck for added balance. The putter is adorned with unique stamps like the Circle L, meant for Scotty’s friends who lost matches.

Paul Barjon has been testing a PXG Prototype putter that draws inspiration from popular designs like the Spider. The prototype features a tapered mallet shape with dual wings on the rear, each housing movable weights. The putter also includes PXG’s advanced pyramid face structure for improved performance.

Odyssey introduced the Ai-One Cruiser Broomstick #7 putter, catering to players who prefer long, counterbalanced options like the broomstick style. The putter features a shaft in the center of the club head for stability and consistency, along with an Ai-One face for off-center hit forgiveness. Three white lines on top assist with alignment.

TaylorMade also joined the trend with the Spider Tour S Broomstick putter, a larger version of the standard Tour S model to accommodate the longer shaft length. The putter includes a TPU Pure Roll insert for a smooth roll and a traditional double-bend shaft design. Two movable weights on the wings allow players to customize the weight distribution.

Long, counterbalanced, and alternative putters have become increasingly popular on tour, with more players opting for unique designs like the broomstick style. Manufacturers like Odyssey and TaylorMade have introduced new models to cater to this growing trend, offering stability, forgiveness, and alignment aids for improved putting performance.

Custom putters are a common sight on the putting greens of tour events, showcasing the creativity and innovation of club manufacturers and players alike. From multi-material designs to unique shaft placements, these putters are designed to optimize performance and appeal to players looking for personalized options on the green.

The intricate details on these custom putters, from CNC machine work to unique stamps and advanced face structures, demonstrate the level of craftsmanship and precision that goes into their creation. Each putter is tailored to the player’s preferences and playing style, ensuring a perfect fit for their needs on the course.

As more players experiment with different putter styles and designs, we can expect to see a continued evolution in custom putter technology and aesthetics. These unique and innovative putters not only enhance performance but also reflect the individuality and creativity of the players who wield them on the greens of professional golf tournaments.
