To improve your ball-striking ability and make solid contact on every shot, you can follow a simple drill recommended by GOLF Top 100 Teacher Mike Bender. Bender emphasizes the importance of proper weight distribution and hand position at impact to achieve better ball-striking consistency. By ingraining the proper impact position into your mind and body through repetition, you can reduce mishits and improve your overall golf game.

The drill recommended by Bender involves setting up a hitting station with a ball and two clubs running parallel to the target or using alignment sticks. By mimicking a solid impact position where your hands are ahead of the clubhead and weight shifted to the left hip, you can train your body to replicate this sensation. Holding this position for a few seconds helps reinforce the feeling of a proper impact position. Progressing to hitting the ball between the two clubs allows you to practice recreating the same motions and striking the ball pure.

Improving your ball-striking ability can have a significant impact on your overall golf game and lead to lower scores on the course. Bender’s two-club drill is designed to help golfers of all levels correct common swing issues and develop a consistent swing that produces solid contact with the ball. By learning how to shift your weight and position your hands correctly, you can experience improved ball-striking results and greater confidence in your golf shots.

If you’re looking to enhance your golf training routine and improve your game further, you may consider investing in the Rukket Sports Pathfinder Impact Mat™. This 2-in-1 golf swing training mat combines the features of an impact mat and a swing path trainer to help golfers identify and correct common swing problems such as hooks and slices. The mat tracks club face alignment and ensures clean contact with the ball, while the foam pylons can be used to keep your swing on plane and practice hitting straighter shots or shaping shots.

The Rukket Pathfinder Impact Mat™ is designed to assist players of all abilities in honing their skills and developing a more consistent and efficient golf swing. With input from professional golfers and teachers, this training mat offers versatility and functionality to help golfers work on club face alignment, swing plane alignment, and hitting draw or fade shots. Whether you’re a beginner looking to improve your ball-striking or an experienced player seeking to fine-tune your swing, this training aid can be a valuable addition to your practice routine.

In conclusion, improving your ball-striking ability is essential for enhancing your overall golf performance and reducing common mishits during your rounds. By incorporating drills like the one recommended by Mike Bender and utilizing training aids like the Rukket Sports Pathfinder Impact Mat™, you can address swing flaws, develop a more consistent swing, and achieve better results on the course. Consistent practice, proper technique, and feedback from training tools can help you refine your skills, increase your confidence, and ultimately enjoy a more rewarding golf experience.
