The Paris 2024 Olympic Women’s golf competition on Friday saw some players stumble, while others soared. Ruoning Yin and Pia Babnik had a tough day with Yin registering six bogeys and Babnik taking a quadruple bogey on the 15th hole. Lydia Ko and Miya Yamashita, on the other hand, posted impressive scores of 68 with six birdies from Ko and a solid scorecard from Yamashita. Atthaya Thitikul also played well with a 69, finishing at six under par.

Morgane Metraux, the second-round leader, had a topsy-turvy round but managed to finish strong with an eagle on the last hole to tie for the lead with Lydia Ko. Celine Boutier, a French hopeful, had a rollercoaster round but finished with three birdies on the last three holes to stay in contention. Nelly Korda is another player to watch out for on Sunday as she has the potential to score low if she can find her rhythm. Mariajo Uribe is also predicted to have a strong finish and potentially clinch the gold medal.

The tournament is wide open heading into the final round with several players in contention for a medal. With the likes of Ko, Yamashita, Thitikul, Metraux, Boutier, Korda, and Uribe all vying for the top spot, the competition is set to be intense.
