American Peter Uihlein impressed everyone with a remarkable performance, shooting a course record 10-under-par 61 at the International Series England event at Foxhills Club & Resort in Surrey. This round included an eagle, nine birdies, and one bogey, helping him move to the top of the leaderboard with a total score of 10-under for the tournament. He leads by one shot from Belgium’s Thomas Pieters and surprise-package Robert Dinwiddie from England.

Pieters, Uihlein’s LIV Golf League team-mate, returned a 69, while Dinwiddie carded a 66 during the second round of the event. American Caleb Surratt is also in contention, just one shot back after carding a 66. England’s Richard Bland and Karandeep Kochhar from India are further behind, following rounds of 69 and 67, respectively. Uihlein’s strong performance is reminiscent of his third-place finish at the Saudi Open earlier this year, where he showcased his potential on the Asian Tour.

Uihlein delivered an exceptional performance with his approach shots and putting, leading to critical birdies and an eagle that helped him secure the course record. Pieters, despite struggling with his putting, remains in a good position with solid play and a positive mindset. Dinwiddie’s impressive showing, especially after making it through the challenging qualifier, highlights his determination and skill on the course.

Branden Grace from South Africa shot a 65 to stay four shots behind the leader, along with Korean Seungtaek Lee. Jeev Milkha Singh from India, at 53 years old, rolled back the years with a solid round of 68. Richard T. Lee from Canada, who started the day as a joint leader, slipped back after a challenging round of 74. John Catlin from the US, leading both the Asian Tour merit list and International Series Rankings, returned a 72 to stay two under for the tournament.

Uihlein’s exceptional performance at the International Series England event has positioned him as a strong contender for the title. With impressive approach shots, putting, and overall solid play, he has set himself up for success in the upcoming rounds. Pieters, Dinwiddie, and other competitors are closely behind, ensuring an exciting finish to the tournament. As the action unfolds at Foxhills Club & Resort, golf fans can expect more thrilling moments and intense competition from these talented players.
