The 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship is reaching its climax this weekend at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. with four players vying for the prestigious title. The semi-final matches will feature Maria Jose Marin and Asterisk Talley, and Kendall Todd and Rianne Malixi, who will compete against each other to secure a spot in the 36-hole final match.

Maria Jose Marin, an 18-year-old golfer from Colombia and a rising sophomore at the University of Arkansas, is the No. 1 seed in match play after posting impressive scores in the stroke-play portion of the tournament. Her semi-final opponent, Asterisk Talley, is a 15-year-old high school student from California and already has a USGA championship title under her belt. Both players are new to the U.S. Women’s Amateur and will be looking to make a mark in the final stages of the tournament.

On the other side of the bracket, Kendall Todd, a 21-year-old senior at the University of Arkansas, is set to face off against 17-year-old Rianne Malixi from the Philippines. With both Todd and Malixi bringing their own unique skills and experiences to the semi-final matches, the competition is sure to be intense.

The winners of the semi-final matches will advance to the 36-hole final match, with the first 18 holes scheduled to be played on Saturday afternoon and the remaining 18 holes on Sunday.
