Mizuno has continued its tradition of innovation with the introduction of the latest JPX iron series, featuring multi-material construction for the first time. The engineers at Mizuno utilized nickel chromoly and strategically positioned tungsten in the lineup to achieve higher launch and steeper angles of descent. The 2024 JPX iron models include the JPX 925 Hot Metal, the core model offering technology for all-around forgiveness, the JPX 925 Hot Metal Pro with a more compact design, and the JPX 925 Hot Metal HL featuring a larger profile for ease of launch.

The new CORTECH Design with Contour Ellipse Face on the JPX irons boasts a 30-percent thinner multi-thickness face compared to previous generations, resulting in increased center ball speed and better retention of ball speed further from the sweet spot. Multi-material construction with tungsten weighting in the 4-7 irons allows for a lower center of gravity and higher launch. The use of Chromoly 4140M in the face and bendable hosel enhances ease of fitting, while the Seamless Cup Face design enables strategic thinning for greater ball speed. The Variable sole thickness and Balanced Stability Frame contribute to improved forgiveness and optimal energy transfer.

Mizuno has also incorporated Harmonic Impact Technology in the JPX irons, tuning the head geometry for the desired “Mizuno feel” and feedback at impact. Additionally, the JPX 925 Hot Metal offers all-around forgiveness, while the Hot Metal Pro provides a slimmer profile, and the Hot Metal HL ensures added launch and height for players. The availability of different shaft options and grip choices allows for extensive customization to match each golfer’s unique Swing DNA, ensuring an optimal fit for their game.

David Llewellyn, the Director of R&D at Mizuno, emphasized the company’s commitment to setting new standards of performance in the industry with the JPX line. Chris Voshall, the Product Director at Mizuno, highlighted the innovative approach that allows Mizuno to challenge conventions and deliver exceptional look and feel in their golf clubs. Bill Price, the Director of Custom Fitting at Mizuno, emphasized the importance of multiple fitting options to tailor the clubs to each golfer’s specific needs, ensuring the optimal fit for their game through enhanced PFS System and Software.

Overall, Mizuno’s JPX iron series represents a new era of club engineering with its advanced technologies and materials. The combination of multi-material construction, tungsten weighting, and innovative design elements results in improved performance, forgiveness, and customization options for golfers of all skill levels. With Mizuno’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of golf club innovation, the JPX line continues to provide golfers with high-quality, high-performing clubs that meet their unique needs and preferences.
