As summer comes to an end and September begins, college golf is gearing up for the new season. The race to win the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship is heating up, with the championships set to take place at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Last year, Stanford claimed its second national championship in three years, and with three starters returning along with a top signing class, the Cardinal is poised to continue their success.

USC, which made it to the national championship match two years ago, has a strong roster this year with standout players like incoming freshman Jasmine Koo, Catherine Park, and Bailey Shoemaker. The Trojans are looking to make another deep run in the championship. The Longhorns, under new coach Laura Ianello, have a talented roster featuring players like Cindy Hsu, Lauren Kim, Farah O’Keefe, and Bohyun Park, making them a team to watch this season.

UCLA, despite making a surprise run to the national championship match last year, has a talented roster led by senior Zoe Campos and incoming freshman Francesca Fiorellini. The Razorbacks, with players like Maria Jose Marin, who won medalist honors at the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur, are expected to be strong contenders this season. Florida State boasts Lottie Woad, the No. 1 amateur in the world, as their star player, making them a team to watch.

The Demon Deacons, last year’s national champions, will be relying on players like Macy Pate to step up and lead the team. Northwestern has a strong roster with experienced players like Lauryn Nguyen and Ashley Yun, as well as talented newcomers. The Aggies are returning key players like Adela Cernousek, the 2024 NCAA individual champion, and adding talented freshman Vanessa Borovilos. Clemson, led by Anna Davis, will be looking to make an impact this season.

In the rest of the rankings, teams like Oregon, South Carolina, LSU, and Arizona State are expected to have strong showings this season. With the college golf season now in full swing, fans can look forward to exciting competition and talented players making their mark on the course.
