7 Funny Moments Caught at a Tipsy U.S. Presidents Cup Press Conference

The Presidents Cup afterparty took place in Montreal, with Team USA celebrating their victory over drinks and laughs. By the time Max Homa reached the 17th green, the celebrations were well underway, with players passing around tall-boy beers and other drinks. The afterparty continued at the victory press conference, with assistant captain Kevin Kisner serving up cold brews to the players.

Traditionally, the Sunday evening winner’s press conference at golf team events provides a glimpse into the party life of pro golfers. This year was no exception, with 40 minutes of unhinged behavior from the PGA Tour players. Some of the funniest moments from the press conference included Kevin Kisner fulfilling a bet by taking off his shirt and running into the team party shirtless. Max Homa also shared his thoughts on the bet and his victory in the bet.

Team USA captain Jim Furyk found himself in a humorous situation after a quote from him went viral earlier in the week. When a reporter asked him to repeat the quote, Furyk’s players egged him on, shouting “Say it!” The evening’s festivities continued with Kisner playfully telling the reporter to “Go F— yourself” in good fun.

The chaos at the press conference also included Scottie Scheffler wearing a golf glove on his beer-holding hand and trying to sell it off to the media. Sahith Theegala and Xander Schauffele amused the room with a friendly jab at Theegala’s earlier slip-up. Tony Finau ended the night with a bold proclamation, quoting Travis Kelce and declaring that they would fight for their right to party.

Overall, the Team USA Presidents Cup victory press conference was filled with hilarious moments and a light-hearted atmosphere. The players enjoyed letting loose after their win, providing fans with a glimpse into the camaraderie and fun that takes place off the course. The event showcased the unique bond between the players and their willingness to have a good time, even in a professional setting. The night was filled with laughter and camaraderie, highlighting the friendship and spirit of competition that exists among the golfers on the PGA Tour.
