The Sanderson Farms Championship is back, and our expert Brady Kannon shares his picks for the tournament, which takes place at the Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi. The course, a par 72 that measures close to 7,500 yards, has been a favorite on the PGA Tour since 1968 and has been held at this venue since 2014. Renovated by John Fought, the course design favors the bombers over those who rely heavily on driving accuracy. The defending champion, Luke List, secured his win with length off the tee and a hot putter. With an average winning score of 19 under par over the last 10 years, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas has set the over/under winning score at 18.5 under par or 269.5.

In terms of statistical analysis, Kannon leans on metrics like Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Off the Tee, Par 5 Scoring, and Par 4 Scoring on holes measuring between 400-450 yards. He also considers Strokes Gained: Putting on Bermudagrass and Birdies or Better Gained. For correlated courses, Kannon focuses on tracks that require length off the tee, such as Vidanta Vallarta, TPC Craig Ranch, Corales Golf Club, and the Stadium Course at PGA West. Luke List, a former winner at both the Country Club of Jackson and Torrey Pines, showcases the importance of length on these courses.

Kannon’s picks for the Sanderson Farms Championship include Patrick Fishbird, Jhonattan Vegas, Ben Griffin, and Kevin Yu. Fishburn, a Tour rookie with impressive recent finishes, ranks highly in SG: Off the Tee and SG: Par 5s, making him a strong contender. Vegas, a veteran player, has the potential to excel with his strong off-the-tee game and recent win in Minnesota. Griffin, a runner-up at last year’s tournament and performing well this season, excels in approach play and on Par 4s measuring 400-450 yards. Lastly, Yu, a long shot at 120-1 odds, has the driving distance and ball-striking abilities to contend if he can improve his putting game.

Chirp Golf, a mobile app featuring Free-To-Play and Daily Fantasy golf contests, also provides insight into player picks for the Sanderson Farms Championship. The app showcases the top three picks from Chirp Golf players, offering additional perspectives on the potential winners. With the tournament set to begin, these picks from Kannon, along with insights from Chirp Golf, provide valuable information for those looking to place bets or participate in fantasy golf contests. As the FedEx Cup Fall Series continues, the competition heats up, and these expert picks could guide you towards success in your golf betting endeavors.
