The TGL presented by SoFi, a new tech-infused team golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA Tour, has released the schedule for its inaugural season, which kicks off on January 7. The season will consist of 15 regular season matches, followed by a four-team semi-finals and culminate with the top two teams competing for the SoFi Cup in a best-of-three Finals Series on March 24 and March 25. All matches will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+ in the US.

Mike McCarley, CEO and Founder of TMRW Sports, expressed excitement about the launch of TGL presented by SoFi, stating that it will combine world-class PGA TOUR stars with the energy typically found in other team sports, providing fans with a live, courtside experience on a scale never seen before in golf. The six TGL teams will compete in a season of matches from January through March, bringing team golf to prime time television for the first time on a consistent basis. The fast-paced team competition aims to capture the attention of a wide range of sports fans, featuring elements such as a shot clock that are familiar to fans of other sports.

The TGL matches, which will be two hours in length, are designed to be perfect for prime time television and will help introduce more fans to some of the biggest names in golf. The custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where the matches will take place, has a seating capacity of 1,500 spectators. Tickets for the events will be available for purchase soon, but interested fans can register early to secure their spot. With a focus on providing a unique live experience for fans and incorporating elements from other team sports, TGL aims to attract a broader audience to the game of golf.
