The Tiger Woods-designed El Cardonal at Diamante Cabo San Lucas will be hosting the PGA Tour’s World Wide Technology tournament for the second time, with the event scheduled for Nov. 7-10. This tournament is the third-to-last event on the FedEx Cup Fall series, and many golfers will be looking to secure their status for 2025. El Cardonal is a par 72 course that spans 7,452 yards and currently ranks 26th on Golfweek’s Best 2024 list of the top golf courses in Mexico, the Caribbean, the Atlantic islands, and Central America.

Last year’s inaugural tournament at El Cardonal saw Erik van Rooyen emerge as the champion, and he will be looking to replicate that success once again. Van Rooyen is currently ranked 67th, but a strong showing at this tournament could potentially boost his standing. Finishing in the top 60 will allow golfers to qualify for the first two signature events of 2025, including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-am and the Genesis Invitational.

The field for this tournament includes a total of 120 players, each vying for the coveted title. Some of the notable participants include Daniel Berger, Cameron Champ, Luke Donald, Harris English, Matt Kuchar, Ryan Palmer, and Jhonattan Vegas. Additionally, there are 12 sponsor exemptions that have been granted to select players, such as Luke Donald, Ryan Palmer, and Scott Piercy.

With a talented and diverse field of participants, the tournament promises to be a highly competitive and exciting event to watch. The picturesque backdrop of El Cardonal’s stunning course, coupled with the strategic design elements implemented by Tiger Woods, will provide a challenging yet rewarding experience for both players and spectators alike. As the event unfolds, fans can expect to witness thrilling moments, unexpected twists, and incredible displays of skill from some of the best golfers in the world.

The tournament serves as a valuable platform for players to showcase their talents, compete against their peers, and earn crucial ranking points to further their careers. As the golf season progresses, the pressure will intensify, and the stakes will continue to rise for those aiming to solidify their positions in the sport. For fans of the game, this event offers a unique opportunity to witness history in the making and be a part of the action as it unfolds at El Cardonal.

Overall, the PGA Tour’s World Wide Technology tournament at El Cardonal is set to provide a thrilling and memorable experience for all involved. From the meticulously crafted course layout to the roster of talented players and the intense competition that will unfold, this event promises to be a highlight of the golfing calendar. As the tournament plays out, golf enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing unforgettable moments, inspiring performances, and the crowning of a deserving champion on the world stage.
