Italian golfer Edoardo Molinari is currently leading the Final Stage Qualifying School at INFINITUM in Spain, holding a four-shot lead after three rounds. Despite a level-par 72 in the third round, Molinari is still at 17 under par, ahead of Frenchman Clément Sordet and the rest of the chasing pack. Molinari’s consistent performance throughout the tournament has put him in a strong position to regain his DP World Tour playing privileges.

Facing challenging conditions with swirling winds on day three, Molinari acknowledged that he did not play as well as in the previous rounds but was satisfied with his performance given the circumstances. His experience from previous Q School appearances in 2015 and 2016, along with patience, have been crucial in maintaining his lead. Molinari emphasized the importance of staying focused and making the right decisions on the course.

Matthew Southgate of England currently sits in third place, five shots behind Molinari at 12 under par. A group of four players are one shot further back in fourth place. On day three, Dutchman Vince van Veen made a remarkable climb up the leaderboard with a sensational 12-under-par 59 on the Lakes Course. This impressive performance propelled him into a share of 22nd place, ahead of the 72-hole cut.

With preferred lies in play, the cut line at Final Stage Qualifying School will include the top 65 players and ties. Those who finish in the top 20, including ties, after the sixth round will earn a DP World Tour card for the 2025 Race to Dubai. The leaderboard after three rounds shows Molinari leading with 198, followed by Sordet at 202 and Southgate at 203. The close competition among players in the top positions sets the stage for an exciting final three rounds.

As the tournament progresses, players will need to maintain their focus and composure to secure their spots on the DP World Tour. The pressure will be on during the final rounds, as the stakes are high for those vying for a chance to compete at the highest level of professional golf. Fans can stay updated on the latest scores and results from the Final Stage Qualifying School by visiting the official website for the most recent information.

Molinari’s strong performance at the qualifying school reflects his determination and skill as a professional golfer. With a history of success on the DP World Tour, Molinari is poised to make a successful comeback and potentially add to his previous victories. The competitive nature of the tournament and the talent of the players in the field make for an exciting conclusion to the Final Stage Qualifying School, with the top finishers earning their places on the DP World Tour for the upcoming season.
