The Korn Ferry Tour has announced a five-year extension with the Visit Knoxville Open, ensuring that the tour will remain in Tennessee until the next decade. Along with the extension with Visit Knoxville, Holston Hills Country Club has also agreed to a five-year extension to continue hosting the event. The Korn Ferry Tour’s 26-event schedule for 2025 includes a visit to Tennessee in September for the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation in Franklin.

Korn Ferry Tour President Alex Baldwin expressed gratitude for the partnership with Visit Knoxville and excitement for the opportunity to build upon the relationship that began in 2019. Holston Hills Country Club has been praised as a terrific host venue for the tour, helping to prepare players for the next level of competition. The Knoxville community has shown great hospitality to the tour, making it a popular stop on the schedule.

The Visit Knoxville Open has been a part of the Korn Ferry Tour’s schedule since 1990, making it one of four tournaments that has been an event on the circuit since its inception. Visit Knoxville became the title sponsor of the event in 2019, further solidifying its place on the tour. In 2021, Holston Hills, a Donald Ross design, hosted the event, receiving positive feedback from players and fans alike.

In addition to hosting the Visit Knoxville Open, Holston Hills Country Club has a history of hosting prestigious events, including the 2004 Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship and the 2007 Tennessee PGA Championship. The course’s layout and design have been praised by players, and its challenging nature has helped to elevate the level of competition at the event.

The extension of the Visit Knoxville Open and the agreement with Holston Hills Country Club demonstrate the Korn Ferry Tour’s commitment to providing players with quality competition and fans with exciting events to attend. The tour’s schedule for 2025 promises to be filled with thrilling tournaments, and the continued presence of Tennessee on the schedule is sure to attract a loyal following of fans and supporters.

As the Korn Ferry Tour continues to grow and expand its reach, partnerships with established events like the Visit Knoxville Open and host venues like Holston Hills Country Club will be essential in maintaining the tour’s success. The support of the Knoxville community and the dedication of the club to providing a top-notch experience for players and fans alike will help ensure the continued success of the event for years to come. With a bright future ahead, the Korn Ferry Tour looks forward to continuing its relationship with Visit Knoxville and Holston Hills as it embarks on the next chapter of its journey.
