Nelly Korda’s victory at The Annika driven by Gainbridge at Pelican was a special moment for her as it was the first time her brother Sebastian had come to watch her win on the LPGA tour. Family and team support mean everything to Korda, and she credits much of her success to those in her bubble. Longtime physio Kim Baughman played a crucial role in her victory, with Korda praising her for the hard work and dedication she put into helping her recover from a neck injury before the event.

Korda, who now has seven wins in a monumental season, rushed her rehabilitation to compete close to home at Pelican Golf Club. Despite facing various challenges and setbacks, including a string of disappointments and injuries, Korda showed remarkable resilience and toughness throughout the season. Her brother Sebastian described her as “pretty badass” and praised her for her strength and determination on the course.

The final round of The Annika driven by Gainbridge saw Korda trailing Charley Hull before taking the lead with a string of five birdies on the back nine. Her final-round 67 secured her victory by three strokes over Hull, Jin Hee Im, and Weiwei Zhang, who earned her card for the following season with her performance. Korda’s win at Pelican Golf Club marked her 15th career victory on the LPGA tour, putting her in rare company alongside legends such as Kathy Whitworth, Nancy Lopez, and Beth Daniel.

Reflecting on her season, Korda emphasized the lessons she learned through tough times, stating that they helped her mature and appreciate what truly matters in life. She expressed gratitude for the challenges she faced, as they ultimately helped her grow and understand the importance of those who support and stand by her. Korda’s resilience and ability to overcome adversity have been key factors in her success on the LPGA tour, as she continues to strive for greatness and elevate her game to new heights.

As one of the most dominant players on the tour, Korda’s remarkable season has solidified her status as a force to be reckoned with in women’s golf. Her dedication to her craft, unwavering determination, and unwavering support from her family and team have been instrumental in her success. With seven wins in a single season, Korda has etched her name alongside some of the greatest American players in history, further cementing her legacy in the world of golf.

Moving forward, Korda plans to build on her success and continue to push herself to new heights in the sport. Her drive, passion, and relentless work ethic make her a formidable competitor on the LPGA tour, with fans and fellow players alike recognizing her talent and potential. With her recent victory at Pelican Golf Club, Korda has proven that she has what it takes to compete at the highest level and achieve greatness in the world of professional golf.
