Joel Dahmen secured his full PGA Tour card for the 2025 season with a nerve-wracking final round at the RSM Classic, finishing just two places above the cut-off in the Fed Ex Cup standings at 124th. Despite struggling throughout much of 2024, Dahmen produced an excellent final round of 64 to finish T35 and ensure he can look forward to next season with full status. His world ranking dropped from 167th to 228th, putting his PGA Tour status in jeopardy heading into the season closer at Sea Island.

During his post-tournament press conference, Dahmen expressed gratitude for the opportunity to have a full PGA Tour card, stating that he had made it longer than he ever thought he would. He emphasized the importance of not taking the opportunity for granted and acknowledged the support of his friends and fellow pros on the Tour. Dahmen also highlighted the impact of raising his family on the PGA Tour, noting that it takes a village and that he didn’t want to miss out on that experience.

Dahmen credited his wife, Lona, for helping him maintain focus after a challenging third round that had left him in a precarious position. He praised her encouragement and support, noting that her words helped him regain the mindset needed to push through in the final round. He also acknowledged the unwavering support of loved ones and fellow players, who sent him messages of encouragement throughout the tournament.

The close relationship between Dahmen and his caddie, Geno Bonallie, was evident during the final round, with Dahmen praising Bonallie’s calm and supportive demeanor. Despite the pressure of the situation, Bonallie’s performance was described as the greatest he had ever put on, with Dahmen noting that his caddie’s calmness helped him make strategic decisions on the course. The strong partnership between Dahmen and Bonallie played a crucial role in securing his full PGA Tour card for the upcoming season.

Looking ahead, Dahmen expressed excitement about the opportunity to continue competing on the PGA Tour with full status. He emphasized the importance of not taking the experience for granted and expressed gratitude for the chance to raise his family on the Tour. As he prepares for the 2025 season, Dahmen aims to build on the lessons learned in 2024 and continue pursuing success on the tour. With the support of his loved ones, fellow pros, and his caddie, Dahmen is confident in his ability to compete at the highest level and make the most of his PGA Tour card.
