The 2024 golf season has come to an end with many exciting moments, tournaments, and upsets. As we look ahead to 2025, there are high expectations for the upcoming season, which promises to be another action-packed year. With four men’s and five women’s Majors, a Ryder Cup, and a potential PGA Tour/PIF deal on the horizon, golf fans have a lot to look forward to.

Five Golf Monthly writers have shared their predictions for the 2025 season, covering a wide range of potential outcomes. From new-time winners to established players continuing their dominance, there are plenty of possibilities for what could unfold in the world of golf over the next 12 months.

One prediction is that Jordan Spieth will make a strong return in 2025 after undergoing wrist surgery. The three-time Major winner has been playing through pain and is expected to bounce back with multiple PGA Tour victories, a return to the world’s top 10, and a spot on the USA’s Ryder Cup Team.

Another prediction is that Charley Hull will win a Major in 2025. The Englishwoman has had a successful season in 2024, with one win and three runners-up finishes, making her a strong contender for a Major championship.

Europe is predicted to win the Ryder Cup in the USA, with a team full of experienced players and exciting rookies. The team’s prospects in New York look promising, with a strong lineup that includes top players like Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Tommy Fleetwood.

Patrick Cantlay is expected to win a Major in 2025, as the highly skilled golfer has yet to capture a Major victory despite his talent. He will be determined to break through and secure a coveted Major title, with high hopes for the US Open at Oakmont Country Club.

Nelly Korda is predicted to win another Major in 2025, showcasing her strength in the women’s game. The American golfer has the game and mindset to deliver another record-breaking year, including at least one more Major victory.

Esther Henseleit, a rising star in women’s golf, is expected to secure her first LPGA Tour win in 2025. With several impressive finishes in 2024, including top-10 results in Majors, Henseleit is poised for a breakout year on the LPGA Tour.

Tyrrell Hatton or Joaquin Niemann are predicted to be the next first-time Major winners, with their exceptional skills and consistent performance on the course. Both players have the talent and drive to capture their maiden Major title in 2025.

A bold prediction is that a LIV Golfer will play a PGA Tour event in 2025, as negotiations between the PGA Tour and PIF continue. The potential deal could open the door for LIV stars to compete on the PGA Tour, adding excitement to the 2025 season.

Two players, Tommy Fleetwood and Cameron Young, are expected to make a breakthrough on the PGA Tour in 2025. With numerous runner-up finishes between them, both players are eager to secure their first PGA Tour victory and make their mark on the tour.

The 2025 Ryder Cup is anticipated to be a thrilling contest, with players from various tours competing on a challenging course. With the potential for a tie in the match, the pressure will be on both teams to perform at their best and claim victory in this prestigious event.

As golf fans eagerly await the start of the 2025 season, these predictions offer a glimpse into what could unfold in the world of golf over the course of the year. With exciting storylines, talented players, and high-stakes competitions on the horizon, it promises to be another memorable year for the sport.
