Michael Greller, the longtime caddie for Jordan Spieth, will temporarily switch gears and loop for Max Homa at the season-opening Sentry at Kapalua Resort in Hawaii. Homa’s regular caddie, Joe Greiner, was unavailable for this event, but is expected to return for the West Coast Swing in two weeks. Homa, ranked 41st in the world, is coming off a winless 2024 season after having won five times in the previous three seasons. On the other hand, Spieth did not qualify for The Sentry as his season ended in August due to a wrist surgery he underwent immediately after the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

The coaching change for Viktor Hovland, the setback faced by Scottie Scheffler, and the surprising evolution of golf have been hot topics in the golfing world. Hovland’s coaching change could impact his career trajectory, while Scheffler’s recent struggles have raised eyebrows among golf fans. As the sport of golf undergoes surprising transformations, fans are eager to see how the upcoming season unfolds.

While reflecting on his recovery from wrist surgery, Jordan Spieth expressed optimism about his progress. He mentioned that his recovery has been going according to plan and he is now hitting the full range of shots without any restrictions or pain. As Spieth prepares to return to competitive play, he acknowledges that he may face some rustiness initially but is excited to get back on the course and participate in upcoming tournaments.

The Sentry, a Signature Event on the PGA Tour, is set to kick off on the Plantation Course at Kapalua. Fans can catch all the action from the first round on Golf Channel or the NBC Sports App. With top players like Max Homa and standout caddies like Michael Greller in the mix, the tournament promises to be an exciting start to the 2025 PGA Tour season. Golf enthusiasts are eager to see how the season unfolds, especially with the recent developments and changes in the world of professional golf.

As players like Homa, Hovland, and Spieth gear up for the new season, the golfing world is abuzz with anticipation and excitement. With the support of experienced caddies like Greller and Greiner, players are poised to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. The Sentry at Kapalua Resort marks the beginning of what promises to be a thrilling season packed with intense competition, unexpected twists, and memorable moments on the golf course.

From coaching changes to unexpected setbacks, the golfing landscape is constantly evolving, presenting new challenges and opportunities for players on the PGA Tour. As fans tune in to watch their favorite golfers in action, they can expect to witness the resilience, determination, and skill that define the sport. With the 2025 PGA Tour season about to commence, players and caddies alike are ready to embark on a journey filled with excitement, competition, and the pursuit of excellence on the golf course.
