The start of the new year in the world of golf always brings about exciting changes in gear for many players. Top players are often seen switching to the latest models from their current manufacturers or signing with new brands entirely. In recent months, we have seen players transitioning to new clubs from Callaway’s Elyte range, Cobra’s DS-Adapt line, and even yet-to-be-released clubs from TaylorMade and Ping. Some of the biggest deals include Max Homa’s switch from Titleist to Cobra for clubs, apparel, and footwear. Homa joins the likes of Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson as one of Cobra Golf’s biggest stars.

Another player making waves in the equipment arena is Christiaan Bezuidenhout, although the switch has not been officially confirmed. The World No.55 and three-time DP World Tour winner has been seen wearing a PXG cap, apparel, and using a driver and wedge from the brand. While Bezuidenhout is still listed on the Callaway website and no official announcement has been made, it seems likely that he has made the switch to PXG for his equipment.

Two-time PGA Tour winner Akshay Bhatia has also made a change for 2025, moving from Greyson apparel to Travis Mathew. Bhatia had a successful season in 2024 with two wins on the PGA Tour and two runner-up finishes. He is now sporting Travis Mathew apparel and footwear on the course. European Ryder Cup star Viktor Hovland has extended his partnership with J Lindeberg, signing a three-year extension. Hovland has been a brand ambassador for the Scandinavian apparel giant since turning pro in 2019.

Joining Hovland in the J Lindeberg stable is France’s Matthieu Pavon. Pavon previously wore Ping Apparel but has now signed a multi-year deal with JL after winning his first PGA Tour title in 2024 and finishing 5th at the US Open. As the new year progresses, stay tuned for further signings and announcements in the world of golf as the DP World Tour and LPGA Tour get underway later this month. Whether it’s players switching clubs, apparel, or footwear, the golfing world is always evolving, and fans can expect to see some exciting changes from their favorite players in the coming months.
