The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for Titleist as it celebrates 25 years since the introduction of the Pro V1 golf ball, solidifying its position as a top choice among golfers. With 70 percent of PGA Tour players opting for Titleist balls, the company’s latest release, the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x, have already seen success with two PGA Tour wins. The goal for the new balls was to enhance performance without compromising on what already worked well.

Titleist’s R&D team aimed to maintain driver spin and distance while increasing iron and wedge spin for both the Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Through the development of more than 100 prototypes, they discovered a winning formula that not only met their performance goals but also provided a speed boost. The new high-gradient core in the Pro V1 and Pro V1x delivers more ball speed, spin with irons and wedges, and control around the greens.

The 2025 Pro V1 features a three-piece construction with a spherically tiled 388 tetrahedral dimple pattern for a penetrating ball flight, while the four-piece Pro V1x utilizes a high-gradient dual core and spherically tiled 348 tetrahedral dimple design for increased speed and spin on approach shots. Both balls incorporate a speed-amplifying casing layer and a soft urethane cover for optimal performance across all aspects of the game.

Both versions of the new Pro V1 have already proven their worth on the PGA Tour, with wins at the Shriners Children’s Open and international tournaments. Players like Nico Echavarria and Maverick McNealy have experienced success with the 2025 Pro V1x, showcasing the performance capabilities of the latest Titleist offerings. Over 50 players had already switched to the new balls by the Tour’s season opener at the Sentry.

In addition to the performance upgrades, Titleist is introducing Enhanced Alignment as an in-line customization option for the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x. This feature extends the standard sidestamp by 65 percent and adds two additional lines to aid in alignment on the greens. Players can also choose from over 40 different alignment aid designs through custom orders. The new balls will be available in white and High Optic Yellow starting on Jan. 25 for $54.99 per case, with personalization options available through Titleist.com and local golf shops.
