In 2025, golf enthusiasts will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the ball that revolutionized the sport. Titleist, a leader in premium golf ball technology, has released the latest iteration of their Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls, promising enhanced performance for players. While the design of the balls hasn’t undergone major changes, improvements have been made to the core materials to increase ball speed and optimize spin characteristics.

The Pro V1 features a softer feel off the face compared to the Pro V1x, making it ideal for players who prioritize a softer touch. Both balls maintain a spherically tiled, 388 tetrahedral dimple design that ensures optimal distance and a consistent flight path. The Urethane Elastomer cover provides exceptional greenside spin, making these balls suitable for a wide range of shots on the course.

Testing conducted with the Foresight Sports GCQuad launch monitor revealed solid performance from both the Pro V1 and Pro V1x. While the Pro V1 exhibited lower spin than the Pro V1x, it delivered consistent ball speed and flight characteristics. On the course, the Pro V1 impressed with its ability to cut through the wind and maintain consistency in distance and trajectory, instilling confidence in players.

Players may experience a slight increase in distance with the new Pro V1 compared to previous models, making it a compelling choice for those looking to enhance their game. The Pro V1x offers additional short game spin and a firmer feel, catering to players who prioritize these characteristics. Overall, the 2025 Pro V1 balls are designed to offer total performance on every shot, ensuring a reliable and consistent experience on the course.

During testing, the Pro V1 excelled on iron shots, providing players with control and consistency from various distances. Centered strikes were consistently rewarded with predictable carry distances, making it a great option for players looking to improve their iron play. Whether you prioritize distance off the tee or control on approach shots, the Pro V1 is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of players.

The new Titleist Pro V1 balls will be available for purchase starting January 30th, with an RRP of £52 per dozen. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a casual player looking to improve your game, the 2025 Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls offer enhanced performance and reliability on every shot. With their advanced technology and proven track record, these balls are sure to become a favorite among golfers looking to take their game to the next level.
