Despite playing through the issue at The Sentry, Schauffele is currently resting and avoiding making full swings, which has led to his absence from the Farmers Insurance Open, his hometown event. Furthermore, his participation in future events, such as the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, remains uncertain.
This absence from the Farmers Insurance Open marks the first time since 2015 that Schauffele will not be participating in the event. In the past, Schauffele has shown improvement in his performance at this tournament, with a notable second-place finish in 2021. On the other hand, his history at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am includes less impressive finishes, with T54th and T66th in 2024 and 2017, respectively. In addition to Schauffele, other top-ranked players, including World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and World No.5 Collin Morikawa, will also be missing from the Farmers Insurance Open field.
