First launch monitor-enabled golf balls introduced by TaylorMade

TaylorMade has introduced TRK-R golf balls that are optimized for radar-based launch monitors like Trackman. These golf balls have radar-reflective markers underneath the cover, allowing the launch monitors to capture the full flight of the ball accurately. This innovation is crucial for golfers who take their game indoors during the offseason or inclement weather. In the past, Titleist’s RCT Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls were popular for radar-based launch monitors, but now TaylorMade is offering their own premium Tour-level TP5 and TP5x golf balls with the TRK-R technology.

The TRK-R golf balls have a small amount of liquid silver underneath the cover, which emits radar-reflective waves for better data collection on radar-based launch monitors like Trackman. TaylorMade tested the TRK-R golf balls on Trackman launch monitors and received certification for their accuracy in data capture. This ensures that golfers and fitters using radar-based launch monitors are getting precise performance data from TaylorMade equipment. The TRK-R golf balls are identical to the regular TP5 and TP5x golf balls in terms of features, including the Speed Wrapped Core for a soft sound at high speeds and urethane covers.

TaylorMade has provided fitters with additional tools this year, including the Qi35 Select Fit heads with reflective markers for optical launch monitors like Foresight GCQuad Max. These tools, along with the TRK-R golf balls, offer more accurate data for fittings and equipment testing. The TRK-R golf balls are priced at $64.99 per dozen and are available for purchase on the TaylorMade website. They will also be available in fitting bays at certified TaylorMade fitting locations, allowing golfers to test their performance with radar-based launch monitors.

In conclusion, the introduction of TaylorMade’s TRK-R golf balls is a game-changer for golfers who use radar-based launch monitors like Trackman for indoor practice and fittings. The radar-reflective technology in these golf balls ensures accurate data collection and performance analysis, making them a valuable tool for golfers and fitters alike. With the TRK-R golf balls, TaylorMade continues to innovate and provide high-quality equipment for golfers looking to improve their game and optimize their performance on the course.
