PGA Tour rookie Will Chandler has already made a name for himself for being clutch, despite not yet claiming a victory. In 2024, he Monday-qualified for Korn Ferry Tour events four times and secured his PGA Tour card by finishing in the top 5 at Q-School. Chandler’s impressive Monday-qualifier prowess was on full display at the WM Phoenix Open, where he shot a seven-under 67 to make it into the field and finished T6 with a final-round 66 played alongside World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.

On a recent episode of Subpar, Chandler shared his journey from a middle-of-the-pack collegiate player at Georgia to a PGA Tour cardholder. He credited his dedication and hard work for his success, as well as the support of new coaches who helped him improve his game. Chandler revealed that he treated every level of tournament play like it was the PGA Tour, emphasizing the importance of preparation and practice.

When asked about the key to reaching the game’s top level, Chandler explained that there was no one defining moment, but rather a series of incremental improvements and gaining confidence. By practicing better and focusing on improving his fundamentals, Chandler gradually worked his way up through the ranks, starting with his first Korn Ferry event and eventually earning his PGA Tour card.

Chandler’s journey serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance and dedication in the world of professional golf. By consistently improving and staying focused on his goals, he was able to achieve his dream of playing on the PGA Tour. Chandler’s experience also highlights the impact of mental resilience and the ability to adapt to different levels of competition.

One of the standout moments of Chandler’s career was being paired with Scottie Scheffler at TPC Scottsdale, where he showcased his skills and finished among the top competitors. This experience not only boosted Chandler’s confidence but also reinforced his belief in his abilities. Moving forward, Chandler is focused on continuing to improve his game and see where his hard work will take him in the future.
