Jason Day concerned his risky Masters clothing choices may be denied once more

As the 2025 Masters approaches, professional golfer Jason Day is facing concerns about his attire after a controversial incident at last year’s tournament. Day signed an endorsement deal with Malbon Golf, an apparel company, and wore a white sweater vest with bold lettering during the first round of the 2024 Masters. However, Augusta National requested that he remove the vest, citing the busy design. Day complied with the request, showing respect for the tournament and its rules.

Despite the previous incident, Day continues to wear Malbon apparel on the course, showcasing unique and bold styles. He has performed well in early season tournaments, finishing T3 at the American Express and T13 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. However, he acknowledges that his clothing choices may not receive approval from Augusta National this year. Day and Malbon are working to get clearance for his outfits, but there is uncertainty about whether they will be accepted.

In a recent interview, Day discussed the reaction he has received from fans and fellow pros regarding his fashion choices. He acknowledges that the styles offered by Malbon are polarizing, with some loving them and others disliking them. One memorable outfit that drew attention was when Day wore all sweats at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Despite mixed reactions, Day remains committed to exploring different styles and pushing the boundaries of traditional golf attire.

As a top-ranked player, Day is already qualified for this year’s Masters and will compete alongside the best in the world. His choice of apparel for the tournament remains a topic of speculation, as he waits for approval from Augusta National. Regardless of the outcome, Day’s approach to fashion reflects his desire to innovate and stand out on the course. Fans can look forward to seeing what unique outfits he will showcase at the upcoming Masters tournament in April.
