Ann and Alex Peters from Shifnal Golf Club in Shropshire successfully defended their title at the Mothers and Daughters event at Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club. This marked their fifth win in the historic event, with Ann expressing her excitement as it may be their last time competing as Mrs and Miss Peters due to Alex’s upcoming marriage. The duo showcased their skills on a composite course featuring holes from both the Pam Barton and JH Taylor courses, with Alex playing off a +3 handicap and Ann off a 6 handicap. Despite the challenging conditions, the pair navigated the course well and praised the excellent condition of the fairways and greens.
