Adrian Otaegui made a stunning comeback to win his fifth DP World Tour title at the Volvo China Open, securing a spot in the US PGA Championship. Starting five shots behind the leader Sebastian Söderberg, Otaegui played a flawless final round at Hidden Grace Golf Club, making four birdies and five pars on the front nine to move into a share of the lead. With additional gains on the back nine, including back-to-back birdies on 16 and 17, Otaegui finished with a seven under par 65 to claim victory by one shot over Guido Migliozzi.

Söderberg, who had led since Friday but faltered on the final hole with a double bogey, finished tied for third alongside Paul Waring and Joel Girrbach. Lloyd Jefferson Go and Brandon Stone also had strong finishes, with Go in sixth place and Stone in seventh. Otaegui expressed his delight at the win, crediting his solid play and key shots on the final holes for securing the victory.

Otaegui’s triumph also earned him a spot in the upcoming US PGA Championship, alongside Söderberg and Keita Nakajima, who finished second on the Asian Swing Rankings. The Spaniard emphasized the importance of playing in a Major this year and shared his excitement for the opportunity to compete on such a grand stage. With just enough time to rest and prepare, Otaegui looks forward to showcasing his skills on the international stage at the prestigious championship.

In his winning bag, Otaegui utilized a range of Callaway equipment, including the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver, Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero fairway woods, Callaway Apex TCB irons, Callaway Apex MB wedges, Callaway JAWS Raw wedges, and Odyssey putter. His choice of the Callaway Chrome Soft X Triple Track ball contributed to his success on the course, highlighting the importance of using reliable and high-quality equipment in professional golf.

Overall, Adrian Otaegui’s victory at the Volvo China Open was a testament to his skill, determination, and ability to perform under pressure. His remarkable comeback from a five-shot deficit showcased his resilience and adaptability on the course, earning him a well-deserved win and a coveted spot in the upcoming US PGA Championship. With a strong finish and an impressive display of talent, Otaegui has solidified his place among the top players in the world of professional golf.
