Former Ryder Cup stars Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell are set to showcase their skills at the International Series England, an Asian Tour event taking place at Foxhills Club & Resort in Surrey from August 8-11. Poulter, who finished runner-up in last year’s edition, expressed his excitement about playing in front of home crowds and friends. McDowell, the 2010 US Open champion, will also be in the lineup alongside other LIV Golf players such as Harold Varner III, Anirban Lahiri, and Branden Grace.

Poulter, who is the co-captain of Majesticks GC, has never played at Foxhills before and is looking forward to getting a feel for the venue and putting his best foot forward. He anticipates more LIV Golf League stars signing up for the event to gain valuable world ranking points and additional competition. The Asian Tour has strategically scheduled events like The International Series to attract top talent and provide opportunities for players to secure spots in the LIV Golf League and Promotions event.

Among the Asian Tour stars confirmed to compete at Foxhills are in-form American John Catlin, two-time Hong Kong Open champion Wade Ormsby, and 11-time champion Gaganjeet Bhullar of India. The Longcross Course at Foxhills will provide a challenging backdrop for these players as they vie for victory and valuable points in the season-long race for The International Series Rankings title. Thai newcomer Denwit Boriboonsub, who had a strong finish to the 2023 season with three consecutive wins, will also be a player to watch.

Foxhills will also host a qualifying event on June 17, where professional golfers and elite amateurs with handicaps below five can compete for six available spots in the main event. Tickets for the International Series England are now on sale, with an early bird discount available until May 28. Ticket prices start at £15 for Thursday, £20 for Friday, and £30 for Saturday or Sunday, with hospitality packages also available for those wanting a premium experience.

The International Series England promises to be an exciting event with a star-studded lineup of players competing for top honors. With Poulter and McDowell headlining the field, fans can expect thrilling golf action and intense competition on the Longcross Course at Foxhills. The event provides an opportunity for players to showcase their skills, earn valuable points, and potentially secure a place in the prestigious LIV Golf League. Don’t miss your chance to witness world-class golf in Surrey this August.
