The golf academy that once held promise and potential now sits empty, a silent reminder of what used to be. Chason Perry, the owner of the gym in Columbus, Georgia, needed help expanding his business into golf, but what followed was a string of events that led to the downfall of the academy.

Scott Power, an experienced golf instructor with an impressive resume, was hired to run the golf program at Perry’s gym. Power’s credentials seemed too good to be true, and his charming personality won over both Perry and his program director, Kyle Sprague. Together, they embarked on a journey to build a successful golf academy.

Despite initial positive feedback from students and parents, red flags began to surface. Power failed to show up for scheduled lessons, missed appointments, and allegedly sold golf clubs to students without delivering the equipment. Complaints poured in, and Perry confronted Power about the issues, but Power had excuses for every misstep.

As the situation deteriorated, Power made unauthorized changes to the billing system, cancelled memberships, and resold them to parents. When confronted by Perry, Power tried to negotiate a lease agreement to keep the golf space, but the truth was unraveling, and Perry was left with financial losses and a damaged reputation.

The aftermath of Power’s actions left Perry devastated, financially strapped, and questioning how he could have been deceived by Power. Despite efforts to seek justice through legal means, the road ahead seemed bleak, with Power continuing his pattern of deception and manipulation in a new location.

The unraveling of Power’s deceit revealed a pattern of fraudulent behavior and a trail of victims across multiple states. The impact on Perry’s business and personal life was profound, leaving Perry grappling with the repercussions of trusting someone with a false facade of success.

The story of Scott Power serves as a cautionary tale of the consequences of blind trust and the devastating effects of falling victim to deceitful individuals. Perry’s experience sheds light on the challenges faced by small business owners who can easily become targets of fraud and deception in a world where appearances can be deceiving. Ultimately, Perry’s journey serves as a reminder to always conduct due diligence and trust your instincts when entering into business partnerships. The fallout from Power’s actions serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of transparency, integrity, and accountability in business dealings.
