Xander Schauffele’s historic victory at the 2024 PGA Championship secured his first major win and eighth PGA Tour title, thanks to an incredible first-round 62 that tied the lowest round in major-championship history. Schauffele’s strong performance was a combination of many aspects of his game working well, including his impressive driving stats of hitting it long and straight.

Using Callaway’s Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver, Schauffele showcased his ability to reduce spin and work the ball both ways off the tee. His Callaway Apex TCB irons, fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue 100X shafts, proved to be a game-changer on the greens with their forgiving design and classic look.

Schauffele’s smart approach to club selection, opting for irons that balance forgiveness and precision, was evident in his performance at Valhalla. His focus on staying true to his game and not making it harder for himself, as he learned from a young age, paid off in his winning stats of ranking third in strokes gained/approach the green and hitting over 80 percent of greens in regulation.

Heading into the final round with a one-shot lead, Schauffele maintained his composure and focused on his game, emphasizing the importance of staying in his lane and trusting in his abilities. His consistency and determination throughout the tournament were key factors in securing the victory.

Schauffele’s club setup included a Callaway Chrome Tour ball, Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond driver, Callaway Apex TCB irons, and a mix of Callaway and Titleist wedges. His Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas Prototype putter was also instrumental in his putting success throughout the championship.

In conclusion, Xander Schauffele’s historic win at the 2024 PGA Championship showcased his talent, skill, and strategic approach to the game. With his well-rounded game and unwavering focus, Schauffele secured his long-awaited first major championship victory, solidifying his status as one of golf’s elite players.
