Adam Scott, a veteran professional golfer, has recently made a change to his iron set by incorporating a mixed set of Miura CB-302 long irons and KM-700 mid-to-short irons. While Scott has traditionally used blade irons throughout his career, he has transitioned to irons with more forgiveness in the past year. The KM-700 irons feature a unique design that pushes the center of gravity towards the heel, expanding the sweet spot and increasing forgiveness. They also have a complex cavity design for optimal center of gravity and turf interaction, blending the classic look and feel of blade irons with modern technology.

The new KM-700 irons in Scott’s bag include Miura’s signature red hanko stamping, as well as Scott’s personal logo on the back cavities. Despite being a recent addition to his bag, Scott received the irons during the 2023 Zozo Championship at the Miura headquarters in Japan. He briefly used the KM-700 short irons during the 2023 Wyndham Championship but has not consistently had them in his bag since. The irons aim to combine the aesthetics and feel of traditional blade irons with the technological advancements of cavity-back irons.

Scott’s player manager confirmed the switch to the new irons and provided insights into the design features that make them unique. The one-piece forged construction of the KM-700 irons, along with the heel-toe design for improved forgiveness, sets them apart from traditional blade irons. The addition of Scott’s personal logo adds a personalized touch to the clubs, enhancing the overall aesthetic. The red hanko stamping further emphasizes the quality and approval from the Miura brand.

For a complete breakdown of Scott’s equipment setup, including recent WITBs and insights into his club choices, visit PGATour.com. Scott’s transition to the Miura irons showcases his willingness to adapt and explore new equipment options to enhance his game. The combination of classic craftsmanship and modern technology in the KM-700 irons reflects Scott’s desire for performance and quality in his equipment choices. Stay tuned for updates on Scott’s progress with the new irons and how they contribute to his success on the course.
