Alejandro Del Rey of Spain secured his first DP World Tour title at the 2025 Ras Al Khaimah Championship, finishing four strokes ahead of England’s Marcus Armitage with a final round score of 22-under. Del Rey started the day with a two-stroke lead and quickly extended it to five shots with three early birdies. Despite Armitage’s efforts to close the gap, Del Rey’s exceptional short game and consistent performance helped him maintain his lead and secure the victory without a single bogey throughout the weekend.

Del Rey’s triumph was a result of his hard work and determination to excel in professional golf. After a period of feeling unsatisfied with his performance on the course, he dedicated himself to improving and competing for top positions rather than settling for mid-tier finishes. His confidence in his ability to close out tournaments shone through in his performance at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, where he displayed composure and skill under pressure.

Armitage’s strong play earned him a second-place finish, while David Puig and Jason Scrivener secured third and fourth place, respectively. The top-10 was rounded out by Joe Dean, Ivan Cantero, Sebastian Soderberg, Patrick Reed, Alexander Bjork, Scott Jamieson, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, and Hamish Brown. The field of competitors showcased a high level of skill and competitiveness throughout the tournament, creating an exciting and dynamic atmosphere for golf fans.

Del Rey’s victory marked a significant milestone in his professional career, signaling his potential to achieve even greater success on the DP World Tour. His ability to perform under pressure and close out a tournament with a dominant display of skill and focus bodes well for future competitions. As he celebrates his first tour title, Del Rey looks ahead to continuing his upward trajectory and solidifying his position among the top players in the sport.

The Ras Al Khaimah Championship served as a platform for emerging talents and established pros to showcase their abilities and compete at a high level. The tournament’s challenging course and competitive field provided a test of skill and determination for all participants, resulting in an exciting finish and a well-deserved victory for Alejandro Del Rey. As the DP World Tour continues to evolve and grow, events like the Ras Al Khaimah Championship highlight the depth of talent and the fierce competition that define professional golf at the highest level.
