Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves, fresh off a solid performance in an NBA Playoff game against the Denver Nuggets, decided to try his hand at qualifying for the Korn Ferry Tour’s Visit Knoxville Open in Tennessee. His decision to participate was fueled by a desire to find something to do while on a break. Reaves shot a six-over 76 at Three Ridges Golf Course, which was not enough to advance to the first round of the tournament. Despite his disappointment, Reaves expressed nervousness and excitement at the prospect of competing in a golf event.

Reaves made three birdies, six bogeys, and one triple bogey during his round, showcasing both his skills and areas for improvement on the golf course. The 25-year-old athlete, known for his contributions to the Lakers throughout the NBA season, shared his experience and emotions post-round with the L.A. Times.
