Kirk’s performance was lackluster, and Palmer, despite potentially having inside knowledge from assisting in the course redesign, struggled with five bogeys and a double on his first nine holes during Friday’s round. Max Homa, on the other hand, used the opportunity of the second round to improve after posting a disappointing score of 78 in the opening round. Homa finished the second round with a 69, showing improvement from the previous day.
