CBS Sports will continue to bring viewers PGA Tour coverage in 2025 with Jim Nantz at the helm. Sellers Shy, the lead producer for CBS Golf, is responsible for ensuring that golf is presented on television with precision and care. Shy works with a team of professionals to keep the broadcast running smoothly while also striving for innovation to keep viewers engaged. As CBS returns to golf coverage with the Farmers Insurance Open, Shy is focused on making changes that will enhance the viewing experience for fans.

One major change for CBS in 2025 is the new leadership of David Berson, who took over as CBS Sports chairman. Berson aims to expand access for broadcasters and make improvements to the overall viewing experience. Another change viewers can expect to see is the expansion of drone tracers, which provide a unique perspective on a player’s shot. The addition of crane cams at Pebble Beach will also give fans a new angle to enjoy the iconic course.

CBS will heavily feature the PGA Tour’s Signature Events in 2025, covering six of the eight events. Additionally, CBS will broadcast four LPGA events, including the new Mizuho Americas Open hosted by Michelle Wie West. Returning features for CBS in 2025 include walk-and-talk interviews, TrackMan high tracers, the Falcon 360 camera, and Golftec’s OptiMotion swing analysis technology.

On-air adjustments for CBS in 2025 include the return of Jim Nantz for his 40th season of broadcasting golf. Trevor Immelman will also join the broadcast team in addition to his role as the president of the Official World Golf Ranking. Overall, CBS is focused on providing viewers with an innovative and engaging viewing experience for the 2025 PGA Tour season. With a new leadership team in place and enhancements to the broadcast technology, golf fans can look forward to an exciting year of coverage on CBS Sports.
