The 2024 golf season was filled with standout performances, with players like Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffle, Nelly Korda, and Lydia Ko dominating the headlines. However, there were several other players who had fantastic seasons that were overshadowed by the more celebrated efforts. Rory McIlroy had a successful year, winning four times and adding a sixth Race To Dubai title. Collin Morikawa quietly worked his way up to fourth in the world rankings with consistent play and several top-five finishes. Tyrrell Hatton also had a great season, collecting a win in his first season on the LIV Tour and finishing in the top five in seven out of 14 events.

Chinese star Ruoning Yin had a strong season, finishing ranked second in the world behind only Nelly Korda. Sergio Garcia had an emotional win on the LIV Golf Tour and his best Major result in seven years. Haeran Ryu, the 2023 Rookie of the Year, continued her success in 2024 with a consistent season that took her into the world’s top 10. Hideki Matsuyama had a solid year, highlighted by a win at the Genesis Invitational and a bronze medal at the Olympics in Paris.

Hannah Green had a successful season, winning three times across the year and finishing seventh in the CME standings and sixth in the world rankings. Lauren Coughlin had a standout season, winning twice in three starts and finishing 2024 ranked 15th in the world. Peter Uihlein had a strong showing on the Asian Tour’s International Series, claiming two wins and finishing second in the overall standings. Chiara Tamburlini won the Ladies European Tour’s Order of Merit in her first full season as a pro, scoring three victories and seven top-10 finishes.

Matt McCarty closed out the 2024 season with an outstanding run, culminating in his first PGA Tour victory in just his second-ever start as a member. Prior to that, he had been working towards locking up the no.1 spot in the Korn Ferry Tour standings, which he achieved via three wins in a six-week period. Overall, the 2024 golf season was filled with impressive performances from a variety of players, showcasing the depth of talent in the sport.
