Di Nitto secures Challenge Tour card by winning Alps Tour Grand Final

Enrico Di Nitto from Italy emerged victorious at the Alps Tour Grand Final, finishing two shots ahead of his competitors Jacopo Vecchi Fossa and Damien Perrier. The tournament had to be shortened to 36 holes due to heavy rain, with Di Nitto clinching the win with rounds of 71 and 65 at the Golf Club Monticello in northern Italy. His triumph also secured him a promotion to the Challenge Tour for the following year, as he secured second place on the Alps Tour Order of Merit.

Aside from Di Nitto, four other players earned Challenge Tour cards at the Grand Final event. Benjamin Kedochim from France topped the Order of Merit, while Brandon Kewalramani from the USA, Damien Perrier from France, and Vince Van Veen from the Netherlands also secured their spots on the Challenge Tour. Di Nitto expressed his joy after winning his first Alps Tour title in five years and earning a Challenge Tour card, attributing his success to hard work and dedication.

Despite facing challenges with his game mid-season, Di Nitto credited his coach for helping him make improvements and learn valuable lessons throughout the season on the Alps Tour. He dedicated his Grand Final win to his late grandfather, whom he was not able to attend the funeral for, as his father encouraged him to stay and compete in the tournament. Di Nitto expressed pride in fulfilling his father’s wishes by clinching the victory in his grandfather’s honor.
