Dick’s Open to Remain at En-Joie Golf Course until 2029

En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott, New York, will continue to host PGA Tour Champions Golf through at least 2029, thanks to a five-year extension of the title sponsorship agreement disclosed by Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Tour on the eve of the 17th Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. This partnership has been thriving, with the most recent renewal coming in June 2021 and the upcoming Dick’s Open set to take place July 11-13, 2025.

Padraig Harrington, a two-time defending champion, praised the event and its sponsors, stating that it is well-supported by fans and he looks forward to returning annually for the next five years. The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, which has been held in Endicott since 2007, with the exception of the cancelation due to COVID-19 in 2020, has been a highlight on the PGA Tour Champions calendar.

Ed Stack, a Binghamton native and Executive Chairman of Dick’s Sporting Goods, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to continue the tournament in Broome County, where the company had its roots over 75 years ago. The Dick’s Open is seen as a world-class event, thanks to the collaboration with the PGA Tour Champions and Broome County Community Charities.

The Dick’s Open has a rich history, with the inaugural B.C. Open, a PGA Tour satellite event, taking place in 1971 and eventually transitioning into the Dick’s Open at En-Joie Golf Course. In 2006, the tournament temporarily moved to Turning Stone Resort & Casino’s Atunyote Golf Club due to flooding in the area but returned to En-Joie the following year and has been a staple in the community ever since.

The extension of the title sponsorship agreement is a testament to the success and impact of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open in the region, drawing top players from the PGA Tour Champions and providing an exciting event for fans to enjoy. The commitment to continuing the tournament at En-Joie Golf Course showcases the strong partnership between Dick’s Sporting Goods, the PGA Tour Champions, and the local community.

With the extension in place through 2029, golf fans can look forward to five more years of top-tier competition at En-Joie Golf Course, with the Dick’s Open serving as a highlight on the PGA Tour Champions schedule. The event not only brings world-class golf to the area but also contributes to the local economy and provides opportunities for charitable organizations to benefit from the tournament’s success.
