Open since July, the 5,829-yard, par-68 course was designed by architect Tom Doak and his team at Renaissance Golf Design, in collaboration with brothers Chris and Michael Keiser. The 12th hole, for example, requires a well-placed layup to the left side of the fairway to secure a good angle to the green. A misstep to the right can lead to an uphill shot and a trickier approach.
Despite its modest length, Sedge Valley features several challenging par-4s that test players’ decision-making skills. The final hole, a 318-yard par-4, is particularly memorable with its elevated fairway and small green tucked into the folds of the terrain. The course also features a mix of short and long par-3s, as well as a standout par-5 that offers plenty of space for players to go for the green in two.
