2023 in the golf world brought a mix of drama and chaos, leaving fans eagerly anticipating what 2024 will bring. With a focus on the upcoming special events happening throughout the year, including the Olympics being held in Paris, the season is set to be a memorable one. Here are nine things to look forward to in 2024, listed in chronological order.

The LIV Golf Mayakoba event kicks off the year on February 2-4 at the El Camaleon Golf Course in Mexico. Fans are eager to see who will be on Jon Rahm’s team and if more PGA Tour players will join him. The Players Championship, scheduled for March 14-17, marks the 50th playing of the PGA Tour’s crown jewel and is expected to be a major event filled with excitement.

The men’s major championships, including the Masters, PGA Championship, U.S. Open, and the Open Championship, are highly anticipated events that showcase the best players in the world competing against each other. Each major brings its own set of traditions and legends, making them must-watch events throughout the year.

The World Golf Hall of Fame Induction, set for June 10, will see golf legends like Padraig Harrington and Tom Weiskopf being inducted. Additionally, the new World Golf Hall of Fame building in Pinehurst will have its grand opening, making it a momentous occasion for the golf community.

On June 22, Dustin Johnson turns 40, marking a milestone in his career. Despite recent struggles in the majors, Johnson remains one of the most exciting players to watch and has had a successful career with two majors, 24 PGA Tour victories, and two LIV Golf titles.

The Olympics in Paris, taking place in August, will feature both men’s and women’s competitions at Le Golf National. Past winners like Justin Rose and Xander Schauffele will look to defend their titles, promising an exciting and competitive event for fans to enjoy.

The AIG Women’s Open in August at the Old Course will see top female golfers competing for a major title at one of golf’s iconic venues. The event promises to be filled with drama as players battle it out on the historic course.

The Solheim Cup in September will offer the opportunity for both the European and American teams to settle scores from the previous year. With captains Suzann Pettersen and Stacy Lewis leading their respective teams, fans can expect another closely contested and thrilling event.

Finally, the Presidents Cup in September brings together the best players from around the world to compete in team matches. With Royal Montreal hosting the event, and the possibility of an upset by the Canadian team led by Mike Weir, fans can expect an exciting conclusion to the golf season in 2024.
