Q-School season is in full swing, with the LPGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions Tour, and PGA Tour all reaching crucial stages. Notable players from all three circuits are competing, with some familiar names in the mix. Turk Pettit, who participated in all eight LIV Golf events in 2022, is making a splash in the PGA Tour’s Second Stage despite being banned from PGA Tour events after being dropped from LIV Golf. Pettit, who also went through PGA Tour Qualifying School in 2023, was able to compete in sanctioned events due to his relegation to the Asian Tour, which is a full member of the International Federation of PGA Tours.

Pettit is joined at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Georgia by YouTube star George Bryan, known for his popular channel Bryan Bros Golf. George and his brother Wesley have a massive following in the social media golf world, with half a million subscribers on YouTube. Also vying for a spot in the Final Stage at TPC Sawgrass in December is Neal Shipley, who recently turned professional after success at the Masters and US Open as the low amateur. Shipley has already made waves on Tour with three top-20 finishes.

Kyle Stanley, a two-time PGA Tour winner, is competing at Valencia Country Club in California alongside former Tour winners Robert Garrigus, Sangmoon Bae, Kevin Stadler, and 20-time Japan Golf Tour winner Ryo Ishikawa. In other Second Stage sections, former US Ryder Cup player Jeff Overton is teeing it up in Palm Coast, Florida, while Curtis Thompson, the older brother of Lexi Thompson, is competing in Georgia with Shipley, Bryan, and Pettit. With such a talented field, the competition is fierce as players battle for coveted spots in the Final Stage.

The Second Stage of Q-School is a crucial stepping stone for players looking to earn their PGA Tour cards. The pressure is on as participants compete in various locations across the country, showcasing their skills and determination to advance to the next round. For players like Pettit, Bryan, Shipley, Stanley, and others, this is a make-or-break opportunity to fulfill their dreams of competing on the PGA Tour. With so much at stake, every shot and every hole can make a difference in determining who will move on to the Final Stage.

The journey through Q-School is a grueling test of skill, mental toughness, and perseverance. Players must navigate challenging courses, unpredictable weather conditions, and the pressure of competing against a field of talented professionals. The road to earning a PGA Tour card is filled with obstacles and setbacks, but those who can stay focused and perform at their best have a chance to achieve their ultimate goal. The Second Stage provides a platform for players to showcase their abilities and prove they have what it takes to compete at the highest level.

As the Q-School season unfolds, fans are treated to exciting competition and compelling storylines as players battle for their PGA Tour cards. The mix of seasoned veterans, rising stars, and social media influencers adds an intriguing dynamic to the tournament. With so much talent on display, every round is filled with suspense and drama as players jockey for position on the leaderboard. The Final Stage at TPC Sawgrass promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the Q-School season, with the top finishers earning their spot on the PGA Tour and a chance to compete against the best in the world.
