Golfers who have claimed victory at Tiger’s Hero World Challenge after its relocation to Albany in the Bahamas

The Hero World Challenge, a prestigious event hosted by Tiger Woods, is set to celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2024. The tournament, which began in 2000, will be held at Albany Golf Club in Nassau, Bahamas, where it has been held since 2016. The field of 20 players includes some of the best in the world, with world No. 1 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler set to compete.

Over the years, the Hero World Challenge has seen some exciting competition, with notable winners including Bubba Watson, Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, Henrik Stenson, Viktor Hovland, and Scottie Scheffler. These players have showcased their skills on the challenging Albany course, with impressive scores and margins of victory.

In 2015, Bubba Watson claimed victory at the tournament with a score of 25 under, securing a three-stroke margin over runner-up Patrick Reed. The following year, Hideki Matsuyama took home the trophy with a score of 18 under and a two-stroke victory over Henrik Stenson. Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, Henrik Stenson, Viktor Hovland, and Scottie Scheffler have also tasted success at the Hero World Challenge in recent years.

The competition at the Hero World Challenge is always fierce, with players vying for the title and a share of the $3.5 million purse. The tournament provides an opportunity for golf fans to see many of the world’s top players in action and witness some incredible golfing feats. With the 2024 edition set to mark a significant milestone for the event, excitement is building among players and fans alike.

The Hero World Challenge has become a staple of the golfing calendar, attracting top talent and providing a platform for players to showcase their skills. The tournament’s move to Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas has been well-received, with the course providing a challenging but fair test for the competitors.
