Bubba Watson secured his third victory at the Travelers Championship in 2018 by coming from behind to win with an impressive final-round 7-under 63. He finished the tournament at 14 under par, tying with a group of golfers for the top spot. Watson expressed his love for the course, calling it his “home course” and explaining the significance of the win for his family, especially his father who had witnessed some of his previous victories at the event. This emotional connection to the tournament made the win even more special for Watson and his family.

Looking back at Watson’s equipment setup six years ago, he used a Ping G400 LST driver with a Grafalloy Bi-Matrix Pink X-Flex shaft. His 3-wood was a Ping G with a Fujikura Tour Spec 8.2X shaft, while his irons included a Ping iBlade 2-iron and Ping S55 4-PW, all with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts. For wedges, Watson used Ping Glide 2.0 models with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts, and his putter was a Ping PLD Anser with a Blast Finish and a Ping Pistol grip.

Throughout the tournament, Watson showcased his skills with his trusted equipment, including his Titleist Pro V1x golf balls. This winning combination of clubs and balls allowed him to deliver exceptional performances on the course, leading to his victory at the Travelers Championship. Watson’s success with his equipment highlights the importance of finding the right tools that suit a player’s game and preferences, ultimately contributing to their performance on the course.

The WITB (What’s in the Bag) feature presented by 2nd Swing Golf provides insight into the equipment choices of professional golfers like Bubba Watson. With a wide range of new and pre-swung golf clubs available in their stores and online, 2nd Swing Golf offers golfers the opportunity to explore different options and find the perfect equipment for their game.
