Toulon Golf has recently introduced its latest Small Batch putter, the Pinehurst, paying homage to the 1999 United States Open at Pinehurst’s No. 2 course, where Payne Stewart emerged victorious. Stewart, known for his preference for a center-shafted blade putter, inspired the design of the Pinehurst putter.
The Small Batch Pinehurst putter was specifically built as a center-shafted option, requiring careful attention to details such as the topline shape, width, and hosel design. The topline was positioned slightly back on the hosel to provide a clear view of the leading edge for easy alignment, keeping the design sleek and uninterrupted for the golfer.
Toulon incorporated elements from other putters Stewart had used throughout his career, modifying the back design to distribute weight towards the toe and heel for added forgiveness. The blade length and width were also increased for enhanced forgiveness, with the back cavity featuring Toulon’s slow-machined milled micro grooves for optimal performance.
In addition to the design features, the Pinehurst putter showcases Toulon’s attention to detail in its finish, with an art deco inspired font on the back cavity logo, painted in White against the Midnight Blue finish. The sole of the putter features a tartan design created by Toulon, with a portion painted in Creamy Yellow, Vintage Blue, and Vintage Orange as a nod to Stewart’s love for color.
The Toulon Golf Small Batch Pinehurst putter is crafted from 904L Stainless Steel with a Midnight Blue PVD finish, equipped with a custom Toulon Collection Dark Blue Pistol grip and Chrome Stepless Steel shaft. The putter’s head weight is 355g, with a C/S toe hang, 3 degrees loft, and 70 degrees lie angle.
Available for purchase on Toulon Golf’s website, the Small Batch Pinehurst putter comes with a limited supply and a price tag of $1,800. Golf enthusiasts looking to own a piece of golf history and performance can now acquire this exclusive putter to elevate their game on the greens.
