Introducing the New PING G440 Family: Engineered for Maximum Speed and Distance

PING has introduced the new G440 family of golf clubs, designed to deliver more speed and distance through engineering advancements. The family includes three driver models (MAX, LST, SFT), three fairway-wood designs, six hybrid choices, and an iron set. These clubs can be custom-built with lighter head weights, shafts, and grips for slower-swing-speed golfers.

The G440 drivers feature the lowest center of gravity in a PING driver to date, resulting in higher launch and distance. Weight-saving advancements such as a lightweight carbon crown and Free Hosel technology help optimize the CG location for faster ball speed and optimal spin. The drivers also feature longer shafts, which have been shown to increase swing speed and distance in fittings conducted at the PING Proving Grounds.

The G440 family offers three driver models optimized to fit different types of golfers. The G440 MAX is the most forgiving model, while the G440 LST is designed for players with faster swing speeds who need lower spin. The G440 SFT is for golfers in need of slice-correction technology. The SFT model now also comes in a 9° loft option to meet the needs of new golfers with faster swing speeds.

The G440 iron set is designed for golfers who need game-improvement technology and prefer a players-style shape. The irons feature a shallower, thinner face and a low/back CG location for higher-launching, longer-carrying shots. The new PurFlex cavity badge contributes to increased flexibility, ball speed, and feel.

The G440 fairway wood family includes models suited for different player types, with a re-designed face structure and low CG system. Weight savings from the Free Hosel technology contribute to versatile and forgiving fairway woods that provide high launch and distance. The fairway woods also feature improved technologies from the previous generation for enhanced performance and consistency.

The G440 hybrids are engineered to deliver different ball-flight characteristics and appeal to a variety of skill levels. The hybrids feature a shallower and thinner face design for more ball speed and higher-launching shots. The lower CG and slimmer back weight contribute to ball-speed gains and more distance. The 8-position hosel allows for loft and lie adjustments for optimal ball flight.

For slower-swing-speed golfers, the G440 High Launch (HL) option offers a full-set custom-fitting with lighter back weights, shafts, and grips. This build allows golfers to swing faster and generate more ball speed for higher-launching shots across the entire set. Available in drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons, the G440 HL build provides score-lowering technology for golfers in need of additional distance.
