  1. Euro Tour will allow caddies to view greens during rounds
    Sky Sports report…”European Tour players will be allowed to consult their caddies before playing a shot on the green under updated rules for the Made in Denmark event this week.”

“Players have been given the option to allow caddies onto the green, but only when it is their turn to play. They will not be allowed to stand behind their player once they take their stance, although they can still offer advice on which way putts may break or help with club selection.”

“The change in regulations follows complaints from players that they had a disadvantage because some competitors were able to receive help from their caddies while lining up putts.”

“The alteration to the rules states: ‘A player’s caddie may enter the putting green to help the player, but only when it is the player’s turn to play and regardless of whether a player has a competent or authorised advisor.’”

  1. Co-leader Na withdraws from Charles Schwab Challenge
    Dave Shedloski for Golfweek…”Kevin Na, the co-leader of the Charles Schwab Challenge after the third round, withdrew before the final round citing an abdominal injury.”

“Organizers said Na was dealing with a lower abdominal injury and was advised by doctors to rest so he wanted to focus on his recovery.”

“Na posted rounds of 64-69-66 to share the lead with Jordan Spieth, who won the event in 2016. With Na out of the mix, Spieth was paired with Jason Kokrak in the final group with 18 holes to play at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas.”//}

  1. Resurgent Spieth wins Charles Schwab Challenge
    Gianni Magliocco for Golf Channel…”After a four-year winless drought, Jordan Spieth emerged victorious at a PGA Tour event as he won the Charles Schwab Challenge. The win at Colonial Country Club was Spieth’s 13th on the PGA Tour and his first since the 2017 Open Championship.”

“Spieth shot a bogey-free final round of 66 to secure the win. The victory was a remarkable turnaround for the Texan, who had been struggling with his game in recent years and had fallen to 92nd in the world rankings. Spieth took the lead on the 16th hole and held on for the win.”

“The victory at Colonial marked a significant milestone in Spieth’s career, as he became the first player from Texas to win the event since Ben Crenshaw in 1990. Spieth’s win was also a popular one among his fellow pros, with many taking to social media to congratulate him on his return to the winner’s circle.”
