Nicklaus Design, a prestigious golf course design company, has recently begun construction on an 18-hole course at Jack’s Bay Club in Eleuthera, The Bahamas. This luxurious resort club and community already boasts a 10-hole short course called Playground, designed by Tiger Woods’ TGR Design firm, making the upcoming Nicklaus Design course the full-size counterpart to Woods’ creation. Scheduled to open in 2025, the new course will be branded as the first Jack Nicklaus Heritage course and will be the only Nicklaus-branded community in the Bahamas.

Although Jack Nicklaus himself is not directly involved in the project, Chad Goetz, a senior design associate at Nicklaus Design, will be overseeing the layout’s creation, while Doug Maslo, director of development and construction for Jack’s Bay, will be responsible for overseeing the construction process. The course is set to feature stunning oceanside holes, as well as interior holes that encompass rolling terrain, lakes, and blue holes connecting to the ocean. Goetz, who has designed courses all over the world for Nicklaus Design, expressed his excitement for the project in a media release, stating that working with the land at Jack’s Bay is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Nicklaus Design, a division of Nicklaus Companies founded by Jack Nicklaus but now controlled by Howard Milstein of 8AM Golf, is renowned for its exceptional golf course designs. In addition to Nicklaus Design, the family of companies also includes Golf Magazine, Golf.com, Miura Golf, and other well-known golf brands. Jack’s Bay Club, which is being developed by Eleuthera Properties Ltd, encompasses four miles of oceanfront property and offers a wide range of upscale amenities for its residents and guests to enjoy.

The new 18-hole course at Jack’s Bay Club is expected to be a masterpiece that harmonizes with the natural environment and provides strategic shot-making opportunities for players of all skill levels. Designed to be fun for all types of golfers, the course aims to immerse players in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding land. Known for creating courses that challenge and inspire golfers, Nicklaus Design is sure to deliver a world-class experience at Jack’s Bay. With its stunning location, high-end amenities, and top-notch design team, Jack’s Bay Club is set to become a premier destination for golf enthusiasts and luxury travelers alike.
