The BMW Championship concluded with Keegan Bradley emerging as the winner after shooting a final-round even-par 72 to secure his seventh PGA Tour title. Bradley’s victory was hard-fought, with Sam Burns finishing second after a stellar 7-under 65 round on the last day, tied with Ludvig Aberg and Adam Scott one stroke behind. Despite the pressure, Bradley remained composed and expressed his gratitude for being able to compete in the tournament. He credited his sense of calm for his success throughout the week.

Bradley recalled the tough final round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, which allowed him to sneak into the BMW’s field as the 50th and final player. His journey to victory included some magical moments that led to him competing in the championship. Bradley attributed his success to grinding it out every week and remaining focused on his game. After clinching the title for the second time, he now has the opportunity to compete for the FedExCup in Atlanta and is determined to make the most of it.

The significance of this win was heightened by Bradley sharing the experience with his father, Mark, a PGA professional who was in attendance. Despite the challenges he faced throughout the tournament, including a roller-coaster round on Saturday with multiple birdies and bogeys, Bradley remained unfazed and ultimately emerged victorious. His determination and skill were evident in crucial moments, such as his clutch 5-iron shot on the 17th hole that paved the way for his birdie and solidified his lead.

Bradley’s success not only solidified his position in the playoffs but also raised speculation about his future in team competitions like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup. As the newly appointed 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup captain, Bradley’s dual role as a player and captain adds a unique twist to the upcoming events. His exceptional performance in the BMW Championship also positioned him as a strong candidate for one of six captain’s picks in the Presidents Cup, further highlighting his versatility and skill on the course.

In addition to Bradley’s victory, the tournament also determined the top 30 players who advanced to the FedEx Cup finale at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. Notable players like Scott, Tommy Fleetwood, and Chris Kirk secured their spots in the final event, while others like Brian Harman, Jason Day, and Denny McCarthy were eliminated from the playoffs. The close competition was evident in the battle for the last spot, with Justin Thomas narrowly edging out Harman to secure his place in the finale.

Despite finishing tied for 33rd in the BMW Championship, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler retained his position at the top of the FedEx Cup standings, ensuring a strong start in the staggered format of the Tour Championship. With the final event set to showcase the top players in the field, including Bradley and Scheffler, the stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the PGA Tour season. The competition in Atlanta promises to be fierce, with players like Bradley looking to capitalize on their recent successes and make a strong statement on the grand stage.
